Who We Are
Northwest Arkansas Equality's mission is to provide programming, education, and advocacy to serve, connect, and empower the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) community.
What We Do
NWA Pride Weekend is the largest LGBTQ celebration in Arkansas and one of the most vibrant Pride events in the South. Held annually in Fayetteville, what began as a small local advocacy gathering in 2004 has grown into a beloved regional tradition, drawing over 35,000 participants and standing as a beacon of color, unity, acceptance, and equality.
NWA Pride wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our incredible volunteers. From coordinating logistics and welcoming guests to keeping people cool in the summer heat and supporting our performers and vendors, volunteers are the backbone of everything we do. Their time, energy, and love for the community are what truly bring this event to life.
